Contest Rules Contest is open to all writers in the Greater San Francisco/ Oakland and San Jose, Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay communities.
• Scripts of all genres, locations, and character types will be eligible to enter. However, scripts must follow these guidelines: • No more than 15 pages • No more than 3 locations • No more than 5 speaking roles • Limited special effects
SCRIPTS must be submitted in English in standard industry format.
Recommended SCRIPT length: 5-15 pages. Scripts longer than 15 pages will not be considered.
SCRIPTS should be registered with the US Copyright office and/or the Writer’s Guild of America. Writer assumes all responsibility for ensuring proof of authorship.
JUDGES will be selected by Cinemar. Judges’ decisions are final.
CINEMAR reserves the right to change judges, prizes, deadlines and award categories at their sole discretion.
SCRIPTS will not be returned.
