The Student Cable Television (SCTV) station at UCSC would like to invite you to The 4th Annual Red Carpet Awards, to be held this Friday, March 14th in the Porter College Dining Hall. Doors open at 7:30pm.
The Red Carpet Awards is a ceremony structured like the Oscars and intended to reward UCSC student filmmakers for their hard work and talent for making great films. This year we received over thirty submissions, and nominated roughly fifteen films for categories ranging from Best Soundtrack to Best In Show.
When SCTV was founded just six years ago, the station featured only student films. Since SCTV depended so much on the student filmmakers, there was a deep pride which lead to the idea to recognize and award such creative and exceptional people.
Come to the show, see what all the aspiring filmmakers were up to this year, and bring a friend!
