Calling all Budding Filmmakers!

Community TV is Offering Special Video Production Workshops for Youth & Adults
In cooperation with EarthVision & Santa Cruz Film Festivals
As part of Community Television’s support of both film festivals, we will be offering special low-cost workshops for three Saturdays this spring.
All classes will be held at Community TV, 816 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA. 

Saturday, February 2, 2008 (These classes must be taken together.)
Open House, 12:30-1:30 pm--Sign up for this event to be eligible to become a member of Community Television. Members can then take classes and sign up to check out equipment, once certified. Free, take only once. 
Field Camera Class, 2-4 pm--Learn to operate the Panasonic camcorder, Canon GL-2, tripod, audio gear, and accessories. Once certified, members can check out this equipment at no cost. Regular price: $20, register now for $10 per person.
Saturday, March 1, 2008 (These classes can be taken together individually.)

Field & Studio Lighting Class, 2-3 pm---Learn lighting safety, theory and how to use the instruments and accessories on a field shoot. Regular price: $20, register now for $10 per person.
Saturday, April 5, 2008 iMovie Basics 1-4 pm Learn basic digital editing on the Mac with iMovie. . Regular price: $20, register now for $10 per person. Participants will learn how to use the video production resources at Community TV and once certified, will be able to check out camera equipment and reserve editing time.

Attendees can then participate in the Santa Cruz Film Festival Contest in May. Special YOUTH category!! The contest grand prize last year was a MacBook Pro laptop! Call 425-8848 for more information and to SIGN UP!
