| I made super-8 movies growing up in Sunnyvale. Got a BA from USC Cinema. Worked as a PA on TV commercials, industrial films, and military training films. Worked as a grip on cable movies and indie features. Worked as an assistant editor for feature trailers, indie features, and TV specials. Assistant-directed an indie feature, The Crude Oasis. Came back to San Jose and produced, directed and edited my own indie feature, The Distraction, which got a video release from Hollywood Video in 2001 and from Vanguard in 2003. Edited a couple other indie features, Dinner And A Movie and 7 Songs. Assistant-directed indie feature The Pornographer. Edited heart surgery videos, corporate videos, and a lot of labor union videos. I shoot and edit cultural research documentaries for The Frameworks Institute and Cultural Logic. I use Avid and Final Cut Pro. Currently I'm working on a feature doc about the sixth mass extinction with Species Alliance. I also have a master's degree in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, with an emphasis in Philosophy, Cosmology and Consciousness. |
