Scmoozfest is a monthy social and networking event for all Cinemar members and members of the public who are interested in filmmaking and related topics.

Generally, Schmoozfest features announcements of current events, screening of a current work or work in progress, expert speakers, a social format, and a discussion.

We usually have a few pitches for new projects that people are working on which may at times include requests for services or the talents of others.

Quite often members will show completed or in-production film clips.

Typically, Schmoozfest is held at 7:30pm, the 3rd Friday of each month.

The Events Calendar is a list of upcoming events.

This component is intended for the use of all Cinemar Members.

Members can post events which are related to Cinema arts. This can include:

• Monthly schmoozfests
• Casting events
• Contests
• Training and workshops
• Crew calls for specific dates
• Extras needed
• Theater and film screenings
• Festivals
• Discussions

In addition to posting and listing events, members can also request registration. This is useful for "headcount" or situations where the event organizer would like to get specifics about who (from the Cinemar members) will be attending.

To create a calendar event, click Events - Calendar of Events and choose submit new event. You will need to specify an event venue and time and date of the event. Your event will be displayed in the events scroller and the list of events.
